This year my birthday was marked with a special surprise. Adam arranged a night away for us. He booked the fine dining restaurant, 2' in Alice Street and a night at the Royal on the Park. We were treated to some of the most delicious food and matching wines since new years eve at Rock Salt. How wonderful for us to be able to still get nights away together on special occasions (thank you Nanny B).

Thought the dishes were worth a special mention for my own sake (so I can recall the magic at every bite) .
Entree of `Seared Hervey Bay Scallops, Prawn Cannelloni, Foie Gras and Black Truffle Cream'.

For main, I went with the more riskae option of,`Rare Roasted Cervena Venison, Beetroot Risotto, Grilled Fig, Confit Leeks, Chocolate Sauce' . Sounds strange but the combination was a taste sensation and the chocolate part was very subtle with just a hint of dark chocolate flavour.

And spoilt for choice with the dessert menu, decided to have one of everything!
