Pre renovation - with front door and security grill leading to little entrance

Post reno having removed the front door and replacing with new french doors and front room

Our first house
Since returning from Japan and moving into our apartment in St Lucia for one year we realised the need for more space. So, after spending almost every Saturday for the past 6 months of the year, looking at open houses we finallly found 50 Runic Street, Bardon. A house that ticked most of the boxes. Namely the price, location, condition as well as potential. Having visited the house earlier in the year unconvinced due to size, we reinspected it 6 months later with fresh eyes. With just 2 bedrooms we saw potential to remove a wall between the entrance and hallway to make a 3rd room. So for the last couple of months it has been action stations coordinating the financing, surveying, renovation, and string of other DIY improvements. Not to mention DIY packing, moving, unpacking and cleaning of our apartment. Having spent a few weeks here we have quickly made it our home with our first set of visitors all staying before our White family Gold Coast cycling trip last weekend. It is soooo lovely to have our home and finally have a weekend off together to enjoy it.

Our fave new addition to the house which we are all want to make our own. So far we have been using it as our study/entrance/spare room and play zone

PS loving the dress from Mama Zai, wearing for the first time. great for twirling in XO

Beautiful house. I love the spacious balcony! Have you got rooms downstairs too or just on the upper level? I want to see the inside! When's my skype tour?

From what I can see looks like a nice open design, and I totally love Hana's little dress and the pics of Henry and Hana, you all look so comfy together :) xo Sammy
