A typical day in the life of an infant is never without something new and exciting to discover. Seeing the world through the eyes of baby there is never a dull moment. But, today was no typical day as we left the city for the countryside. We headed up to the White family farm at Rosewood for the afternoon. It turned into quite an eventful day as a stroll up to the ridge we passed a cow murmuring in one of the sheds. Turned out she had just given birth within that hour with the little calf resting in front of her. Within that very short time we witnessed the little calf take it's first steps, standing then staggering shakily before doing a little kick into the air. Unbelievable to think it takes a human baby 12 months to do something similar. With a sense of awe Hana gave her approving kicks and smiles with her arms flaying about taking a particular shine to the border collie puppy that licked and nibbled on her toes.
