A second White family wedding in 2 months
We have just returned from 5 days on the Gold Coast for Sam and Shameer's wedding. An exciting holiday as we packed up the Spacia with the whole kit. Considering the size of our baby, we sure manage to carry some luggage- including her pram, swing, bassinet.....
The build up to the big day we managed to take over the east wing of Jen's seaside home. A girlie gathering for Sam at a thai restaurant meant I got my first bub free evening outing while Daddy daycare kept things under control while hosting Shameer's drinks with the boys. Hana got to experience her first (and hopefully last) bucks gathering.
With Adz rocking back around 230am, he happened to stumble in around the time of Hana's feed. Despite a wakeful, screaming baby with tummy upsets, he managed to pass out oblivious to it all. Grrrr....
Heavy rain fall deterred the wedding from going ahead at the planned parklands by the beach. Instead a last minute call to have it at the reception venue Mariner. Running fashionably late due to a few hitches (bouquet left behind, then key left behind), Samantha made the wait well worth while. Looking radiant and every bit the beautiful bride, her entrance brought tears to my eyes. Such a fun and intimate wedding. Baby Hana got so much attention as she was passed around to all her doting family and new friends. She seems to have found a new favourite form of communicating - doing baby raspberries. Shameer started poking his tongue and she would respond back doing the same having us all in fits of laughter.
At 10 weeks the change again is awesome as bubs is much more alert to her surrounds and actually relaxed while wakeful between feeds. Starting to reach out to touch things and staring at our faces with big smiles, chuckles and even baby talk. Soooo cute!!

I was lucky enough to get girl time the day after the wedding as Abz and I headed off for a massage and coffee while Nanny Barbie looked after bubz. Had a lovely time with the girls and made me realise how good some culture have it with extended family under the one roof.
