***May 4 2007, our BIG DAY***

Mr and Mrs White (Woo
still to those in Japan) are now back in the throws of
things in Tokyo after getting hitched at beautiful
Noosa Beach on Friday May 4.

It was truly a spectacular day and we were felt so
lucky to share it with our close friends and family.

For those of you who couldn’t attend, sorry that you
missed it but your good wishes are appreciated. Here
is little recap of the event that transpired to making
us newly weds.

The big day - Noosa put on a great show for us for the
entire week. It was action packed as soon as we landed
with a huge pre-wedding barbeque, bucks party, hens
soiree in Sydey and Tokyo, golf, dinners, brunches,
tennis, yoga, pampering, primping, photography, cow
chasing (don't ask) and so on…

The build up to the big day came to a head at the
wedding rehearsal where I safely departed to a nest on
top of Noosa Hill with my bridesmaids (just call us
geishas) for some rest and downtime. While Adz and the
boys headed off to play and drink themselves silly on
Canadian Club at the Noosa’s finest establishment (the
Rolling Rock).

With the clearest blue sky and the sun shining on us,
geisha’s were early to rise before heading up to the
roof top for a morning spa and breakfast champers!

After a session of beautification we were transformed
;-)

Mum and Dad came to take us to the beach for the
ceremony. Dad had the Eagles playing in the car as we
cruised down Hastings Streets, waving to the
onlookers.
Although the wind was blowing, the geisha’s had my
veil within their tight grip as I stepped out of the
car park onto the grass and our awaiting guests. On
cue to the sound of the gong (our Celebrants way to
get everyones attention and quite eastern I thought)we
started our procession to the strings playing the
pachabel canon. It was so lovely arriving and all
these smiling familiar faces there to greet us. I just
couldn't wait to see Adam as I knew he would relay any
nervousness I was feeling. Instead when our eyes
finally met and I saw that he was looking more nervous
than me!! hahahaah!! Dad was too cute as he gave me
away. By that time I could see Adam getting a bit
teary as we both tried to contain ourselves. Our
Celebrant, Jewel was a gem just like her name and
calmly coached us through our personalised vows.

Then the fun part, seeing everyone and receiving so
much good cheer. Wow, nothing really prepares you for
all the excitement.
As everyone headed off on the boat to the reception at
sunset, we went with our bridal party for photo shoot
at the beach. Popping open the bubbly and beers we all
enjoyed facing the elements (very windy!) smiling for
the camera.
Then on to Ricky's on the river for feast and party.
Was such a fun night, everyone was in really good
spirits and most of our friends knew someone. A few
short speeches (Dad Woo did a short but sweet speech
that has us all in stiches while Dad White did one of
his epic speeches bringing tears to our eyes). Topping
off with our first dance as Mr and Mrs White, to our
song `Thank you'(Dido) followed by dancefloor
favourites dedicated to our guests....
